so i was talking to my dad about guardians of the galaxy and when i mentioned chris pratt my dad sighs and says “I dont know how parents could be mean enough to name their child after a fried rodent” and i sat there looking really confused and he just whispered “crisp rat.”

    this is the end

I’ve rewatched the ad at least three times to try and figure out why some folks are angry with it and I’m at a loss.  All I see here is: Be a better human. Set a better example. Encouraging strength of character and integrity over typical “machismo”.

This ad made me cry. How can people be mad about it?

  • Not that it matter but don't these people realize that kids who are half white can come out looking completely like their white parents. Like my grandpa is an Afro- Latino and my mom looks completely like her mother whose mostly white. I don't understand why race mixing matters anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️people love who they love.

    Because they’re stupid

My favorite examples of how crazy genetics can be is with twins

I love genetics. Biology is a trip

    This is always so cool.

People like to think that genetic inheritance is like a 50/50 split of traits or some shit when in reality it’s like a fucking free for all who gets to take what spot and what traits develop as a result like

I saw twin toddlers in the waiting room at the doctor today. One was a pale redhead and the other was dark (and super chatty). And all I know for sure is that they were sooo cute and so happy. Their mom was really good with them too. Anyway, this!

    what im here for:
little girls being allowed to cut their hair short and wear comfortable clothes so they can roll around and play. little girls never being asked about their theoretical “boyfriends” and not having the idea of having a boyfriend thrust on them. little girls having crushes on their best friend whos a girl and being able to be open about it. little girls being allowed to be themselves and be comfortable and be little kids.
